The top and bottom decking sheets can be composed from a multitude of sheet sizes. These range from 125 lb single wall to 1,100 lb triple wall.  Multiple sheets can be applied together to create a desired strength.   Pallet jack holes can be cut into the bottom deck as well.  These make our corrugated pallets hand jack accessible.   In addition, many coatings can be applied to the PennyPincher Pallet.™  These include, but are not limited to, Anti-Skid, Paraffin Wax, Color Coating, Greaseproof Resistant Coatings, and Volatile Corrosive Inhibitors (VCIs).

The runners of our corrugated pallets are key to its design and structural capabilities. We have always strived to develop new and innovative corrugated products.  When our customers’ asked for an improved pallet, we developed the PennyPincher Pallet.™ Our first corrugated pallet was developed in 1997. Since then, it has gone through five major revisions to the superior final product.  These corrugated pallets are designed and developed by our internal specialists here at the St. Marys Box Company, who have 115 years of combined experience. 

The strength of our corrugated pallet is deceptively simple.  A cylinder has no weak points in its design, while a cube by basic design has 8 weak points (the eight corners of the cube).  Because a cylinder has no corners, it is much stronger than a cube.  In one standard runner, there are over 1,900 cylinders (corrugated flutes).  With over 7,600 individual cylinders, you can see why a standard four-runner pallet can easily bolster a 10,000 lb static load test.  And since corrugated materials have cushioning properties, the PennyPincher Pallet™ actually minimizes transit vibration and other shocks that are incurred during shipping.

With the PennyPincher Pallet’s™ customizable options, our corrugated pallets can be integrated into the design of a point-of-purchase display.  This not only makes for easy setup but easy disposal in a bailer system.  Our custom sized corrugated pallets make them ideal for limited footprint displays as well.  Wood pallets tend to easily scratch floors. Our corrugated pallet won’t jab you, or the palletized product with stray nails or splinters.  If you use auto-palletizing equipment, you know how long it can take to clear a jammed wooden pallet, and how much damage it can do.  Yet because our corrugated pallets are more forgiving than wooden pallets, they will not damage your expensive equipment.

We offer various styles of our SMBCrating Systems.  We have the highest demand for our knockdown style of crates.  This wood free crate is shipped at only 9” high yet can be expanded to over 87” high!  This greatly improves your storage capability. We offer a telescoping crate as well as our large moving crate that can measure over 87” x 56” x 87”.  All of our SMBCrating Systems are created from corrugated materials and are 100% recyclable.  

With more restrictive export regulations in overseas countries, our wood free SMBCrating Systems offer the perfect solution for your shipping requirements.  These regulations pertain to the use of non-manufactured wood packaging materials in an effort to control the spread of foreign insects.  Our wood free crates do not provide a habitat or food source for these pests, and therefore do not require specialized treatment for export.  SMBCrating Systems are also significantly lighter than conventional wooden crates. This reduces freight costs, particularly when shipping by air.
